Currently, I have posted twenty articles to this website. If the Lord wills, there may be more. The unifying purpose of my articles is an attempt to better know God. They represent my current understanding of an eclectic set of Biblical topics addressing various qualities that God has revealed about Himself as well as some actions God has authorized and/or participated in that have troubled the human mind (e.g., the barbarity of the conquest of Cannan).

Some articles resulted from questions or comments I received that I thought deserved a written response. I composed other articles because I believe some concepts currently taught as Bible truth deserve a reexamination. It is not my intent that anyone who acquires a copy of any of these articles should read them as one would a novel. Rather, I hope that they serve as source material for the Bible student who is engaging in personal study on a given topic. To that end, I have provided an outline at the beginning of each article so that material of interest may be located with relative ease.

I have no agenda nor any preconceived position to prove. Neither do I claim to be unequivocally "right." I desire to know the truth, and my objective for this collection of articles is to stimulate further discussion of these topics looking for a deeper understanding of God and His Word. If these articles help in that regard, they will have served their purpose, even if more knowledgeable Bible students than I successfully refute them in their entirety.

Furthermore, I reserve the right to “grow in knowledge.” Therefore, it may become necessary for me to modify one or more of these articles. I will do so as needed without hesitation or reservation. A correct understanding of God and His Word is what matters, not what men may think of my ideas or me.

Finally, as you will quickly observe, I am not an accomplished writer. At one time I thought of publishing a book containing these articles. One professional copy editor I contacted told me, “The book is too early at this stage for my services.” I took that to mean that it was so poorly written that he could not make it better. For good or ill, it is written as if I were thinking aloud, and I pray that inadequacies in the messenger will not obscure the message from the text.
