About Me.

Born March 2, 1946, the son of Lewis D. and Ruth Ellenburg of Huntsville, Alabama. A member of the Lord's church since 1955, he graduated from Madison Academy, Freed Hardeman College, and received a BA degree in business management from David Lipscomb University (then College) in 1968. Including four years in the military, he spent thirty-two years working for the federal government, retiring in 2001.

As he moved around with his secular employment, David was privileged to serve as an elder in the Lord’s church in Alabama, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia.

David does not possess any academic credentials that would cause anyone to heed his articles. However, for over fifty years he has “set his heart to study the Law of the LORD, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules.” (Ezra 7:10) If there is any value in his articles, it is because the Lord answered David’s importune appeal that Paul’s prayer for the Ephesian congregation might be also granted to him.

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you    the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, (Ephesians 1:17-18)

By God’s grace, David would share with you what he has learned.
